For the next two years, the Swiss watchmaker Maurice Lacroix will continue to be the official sponsor of the UNICEF Open, the international grass tennis tournament in Rosmalen (The Netherlands).
"Over the past four years we have worked together with Maurice Lacroix and have enjoyed doing so. The stylish and sporty look of the watch brand is an excellent match with the tournament. Every year tennis players have shown great interest in the different kinds of watch models”, says tournament director Marcel Hunze.
Ingrid van Kollenburg-Engels, director of the importer Carnaby Import, is looking forward to the next edition of the tournament. “Our experiences with the grass tournament in Rosmalen are very positive. The recent cooperation with UNICEF makes it even more interesting to be present at the tournament as a brand. Supporting a good cause by means of a commercial event is a very good starting point.”
During the UNICEF Open Maurice Lacroix will appear as a timingsponsor at both the registration of the playing time and the electronice device that measures the speed of tennis serves. Furthermore, several watches will be presented in the promo village.
Since 2010 the name of the tournament has changed into UNICEF Open. The cooperation with UNICEF is combines a top-class sporting event with social commitment, a combination in wich the tournament has been brought into action to communicate and realise the goals of UNICEF.
UNICEF Open is supported by the partners Achmea, RICOH and Libéma. The first edition of the UNICEF Open will take place from 13-19 June 2010 at the Autotron in Rosmalen (The Netherlands).
